As part of the 3nd Annual Fondy Acoustic Music Fest, the Steve Rosenberg Songwriting Competition will be held. How to enter. (The Rules)
NEW DEADLINE!! Entries must be postmarked no later than January 22, 2005.
All finalists
must be available to attend and perform submitted material at the
Fondy Acoustic Music Fest, February 5, 2005.
The top ten finalists will
be chosen based on the total points scored for each two-song entry.
Applications must be completed and signed by the artist.
Each two-song entry must include one ballad and one uptempo song.
For the purposes of this competition, "Folk Music" is defined as "acoustic instrumentation with lyrics".
Each two-song entry must be on one separate cassette audio tape or CD. Professional recordings are not required, copies are accepted. (Please include a self-addressed, stamped envelope if you'd like your tape/CD returned.)
A typed lyric sheet specifying
"uptempo" or "ballad" must be included with each song. (Please include three copies of each)
A (short) typed biography of the artist should be included, along with a
history of the song, if available.
Each two-song entry must have a
separate application.
The cost for each two-song entry is $10.
Copyrighting is the sole responsibility of the artist. The Fondy Acoustic Music Fest and the Fondy Acoustic Music Alliance will not assume responsibility for copyright infringements.
The judges would prefer that your songs be recorded as they will be
performed on our stage, with no additional instrumentation or overdubbing.
Board Members of the Fondy Acoustic Music Alliance, their immediate families and festival sponsors and their immediate families are not eligible to enter this contest.
Make checks payable to Fondy Acoustic Music Alliance (or simply FAMA).
Please add FAMA/SC to the memo line of the check.
