Celebrate the Guitar Series is an annual series of guitar concerts/clinics hosted in Kaukauna, Wisconsin that are meant to educate and entertain. The concerts are in the evening and open to the general public while the clinics are offered for the sutdents of the Kaukauna Area Schools. Green Apple Folk Music Society promotes and encourage folk music, particularly in northeast/east central Wisconsin.
Fond du Lac Community Theatre is a comprehensive website about all things current (including performance schedules) and a great historical record of this great organization. Many Fondy Acoustic Music Alliance members have been involved with Fond du Lac Community Theatre shows including Quilters, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Godspell, Little Shoppe of Horrors, Forever Plaid, Sound of Music, some children's productions, and more. Check out their shows for a very entertaining evening. The Old Time Music & Craft Festival is held the second weekend in August every year in Shawano, Wisconsin. Lake County (Illinois) Folk Club-Check out their wonderful one day folk fest on the first Sunday of August each year.
WKSU Public Radio-This Ohio Public Radio station has a fantastic folk/acoustic music program that can be listened to over the internet.
Bluegrass Songbook and Tune-book is a collection of some 250 traditional bluegrass songs and tunes with scores, midis and lyrics. Many of these songs and tunes could also be put in the oldtimey category. In fact, in the early days of bluegrass the main difference between these two was the style of performance and the heavier emphasis on vocal numbers in the bluegrass idiom. "Stringalong" Homepage The Stringalongs are nationally recognized vacation retreats featuring concerts and classes in American folk, world and popular music, how to play acoustic instruments, singing, dancing, playing in a band, instrument building, environmental and nature education, storytelling and folklore, folk crafts, informal jamming and a relaxing time on a beautiful lake in southeastern Wisconsin.
Petros Guitars-Since 1972, Bruce Petros has been building and repairing a variety of instruments, from guitars to pipe organs. He builds guitars with the best sounding woods available. In addition, he does repairs, restorations and set-ups for discriminating customers.
Cafe Carpe is the anchor of the Wisconsin Singer/Songwriter venues. Started in 1985 by Singer/Songwriter Bill Camplin and his wife, Kitty Welch, the Carpe has played host to a virtual Who's Who of folk performers from John Gorka to Preston Reed to Small Potatoes and many more (even "Mr. Zimmerman"!?!). Located east of Madison, Wisconsin, don't miss the music, the great food, or the experience. The Wild Hog in the Woods, Inc. is an all volunteer run, non-profit group, that is dedicated to promoting, preserving, and enjoying all types of traditional folk and acoustic music, by providing weekly live performances in the coffeehouse, monthly fund raising dances to help support the coffeehouse, and occasional special events. It is located in the great city of Madison, Wisconsin.
The Ballad Tree is a guide to Folk Music online by Hugh Blumenfeld who for two years did web research for the About.com site. There is an amazing array of information here for listeners and players, amateurs and professionals.

Cty Murph's Music Page is a great guide to music and musicians in Milwaukee.
Pure Music is an online magazine dedicated to bringing great music to an audience whose tastes and interests are not limited to what's being played on corporate radio and television. They review and discuss singer/songwriters and music for grownups from new folk to R&B, country to pop, spoken word to instrumental.
