We were very proud to host our 1st Annual Fondy Acoustic Music Fest on Saturday, February 1, 2003 on the grounds of the University of Wisconsin-Fond du Lac campus. The day was a great success.

Here is a partial listing of the events we featured. Click on the appropriate box for more info on each activity.

There were six workshops. Johnsmith and Dave Stoddard taught a songwriting workshop. Lil' Rev taught a harmonica workshop. Craig Alan taught a blues workshop. Steve Hazell demonstrated the humor that can be found in songs in his worskop. Kat Eggleston taught a fingerstyle workshop. Angela Otte and Sara Roltgen taught a harmony workshop.

Our jam room was busy most of the afternoon.

The Open Mic was a huge success. There were acts performing on that stage from 2:00 to 6:00. Some of our songwriting finalists made great use of that stage as extra exposure and we had FAMA regulars and new talens performing as well.

Be sure to visit our artist booths. (Sadly, we weren't able to attract much interest in being at our fest from the art community. Perhaps, next year.).

In Concert!

Our evening concert was kicked off by the winner of our songwriting competition - Shauna Wells. What a talent! Headlining the rest of the concert were award winning singer/songwriter Johnsmith who has won many awards including the prestigious New Folk award at the Kerrville Folk Festival and is a FAMA favorite; Celtic, Bluegrass, and Country Hipsters: Frogwater featuring Lil' Rev; and Kat Eggleston who plays and sings songs straight from the heart. There were smiles, cheers, and lots of plans being made to return next year on the part of our audience. What a great way to end the festival!!!
