Steve Rosenberg Memorial Acoustic Music Lessons
Scholarship
In October of 2003, Steve Rosenberg, one of
the founding members of FAMA passed away. As part of his final requests, he
asked that anyone wishing to donate memorials to send them to FAMA. The FAMA
board has decided that this money be set aside in a special fund and be used as
a tribute to Steve and his love of music. A portion of each year's Budget excess
and any individual donations are set aside to fund this scholarship.
Each year in May, FAMA will award two $300
scholarships to individuals to be used for beginning or advanced acoustic music
lessons. FAMA's major goal with this fund is to
encourage individuals to learn to play an acoustic instrument. There is no age
limit or previous musical experience. Only the desire to learn to play music is
necessary. FAMA also encourages these individuals to be part of our monthly
Acoustic Music Jams and Open Mic sessions on the
second Sunday of each month at 6:30 pm held at the
